Run for your life, the Muslims are coming

At this weeks Missouri Baptist Convention’s annual meeting, Rev. David Clippard had a lot to say, particularly about Islam.
Clippard reserved his strongest words for what he said he considered paramount for all Americans: the threat of Islam. “Today, Islam has a strategic plan to defeat and occupy America,” he told the 1,200-strong crowd of delegates (called “messengers”), pastors and lay people, many of whom cheered his words.
He’s just jealous because the Baptist plan to takeover is getting it’s ass kicked on all fronts.
Clippard said that Muslims were hoping to take over the United States government one city at a time, and that they were starting with Detroit, where there is already a large Muslim population.
His proof of this is the resurgence of the Detroit Tigers, since they are owned by a heathen Catholic, which as all Baptists know, is practically the same thing as Islam.
“They are trying to establish a Muslim state inside America, and they are going to take the city of Detroit back to the 15th century and practice Sharia (or Islamic) law there.”
As opposed to the Baptists, which would like to take us back to the glory days of the 17th Century, when women knew their place in society.
In an interview Tuesday, Clippard said he believed the Islamic “strategy for taking over America” was to wait until there was a Muslim majority here and then “eradicate those who don’t conform to their religion.”
How may Muslins would have to immigrate to constitute a majority? I’m guessing they are maybe 1% there, at best?
“I don’t hate Islamic people,” he said. “We need to love these folks, go after them and love them, one at a time. We need to crucify them with Christ.”
He’s all for freedom of religion, as long as it’s defined as freedom from all religions that aren’t Baptist.
What is it with the fundies this week? Next Tuesday can’t come fast enough.

PG? No way. I got a PG-13 last year from somebody and have been striving to get branded R ever since!

It has to be simple – the target audience is rather simple minded.

I’d like to know just what he means by “crucify them with Christ.” Is he speaking literally or figuratively?
Yes, them Catholics are going to hell.
Hmmm, letting the Baptists run the next Crusade. First a large potluck lunch, then off to lay seige to Detroit.
A few weeks ago, America’s population hit a milestone of 300 million.
The Muslim population today (Muslims within the general population), in Pakistan and India is roughly 298 million.
All they need is a common cause to unite the different factions. It would be sad for America to become that cause.
