The (non) thinking blogger award

Apr 28

So what exactly are you thinking if you accept the thinking blogger award (Danger Wil Robinson, it’s a HSB site) but refuse to link back to the originating site because of “objectionable” content?

I’m thinking she’s gonna pissed about me linking to her.

  1. Those things are as rare as air.

I nominated you (and EVERYONE on my blogroll) last week…

  2. Oh, I know. I just enjoyed pointing out the hypocrisy of making a big deal out of winning the award and then refusing to provide the proper props to the originator.

  3. Awww, isn’t that sweet? She made up her own little award for the people she tagged.

What objectionable content? Other than the way-too-many memes posts.

  5. Well, the logo has an alien, and that is obviously satanic. And if you try really really hard, you could interpret the mark on his forehead as a pentagram.

  6. I’m too busy rolling my eyes.

Who the f*** do these people think they are! What a sanctimonious waste of blog space.

  8. LOL.. This is fun! =)

  9. She’s such a stuck-up twit. She accepts the award, but won’t acknowledge because it’s website is objectionable??

Let me see now… would that make her a absolute hypocrite, or a complete asshat?

Chris, this is the second time in two minutes your blog has made me do this:

    *rolleyes* Sheesh!

  10. Truth and Light? It took me 90 seconds there to see truth being abused like young children — with the shades drawn, in the name of God.

    Here are three truths:
    1) On her the blog’s featured reading list is “Shepherding a Child’s Heart by Ted Tripp.

2)That book’s Amazon reviews contain this from a new Christian mom whose mother gave her this no-child-left-unspanked book: “Ted Tripp has it wrong. We are not God. We are simply parents. As parents, we turn our children towards the Lord with guidance and modeling. But, ultimately, the decision to turn their heart to the Lord MUST come from our children, and will only come through the work of the Lord himself in the hearts of HIS children. We cannot forget that truth, or we begin to choose the legalistic and controlling methods that Tripp has choosen, and that benefits no one.

    and finally,

    3) Tomorrow is National SpankOut Day because of persistent untruths and unthinking like this.

OK, I have one to grow on –
“For centuries adults have injured children and have lied about it, and other adults have heard those lies and then merely turned away… we must begin putting the blame where it belongs.”
