Playground of hell

Remember back in the day when we all played on asphalt or concrete playgrounds? Then “they” decided that the hard surface was dangerous to kids, so all playgrounds had to rip out the solid surface and put in mulch.
It turns out that mulch can spontaneously combust.
That’s exactly what my husband thought happened at our local school a few months ago. They put in thousands of dollars of brand new equipment and it burned up the day they put in the mulch. Nobody had even gotten to play on it yet.
