What am I missing here?

Oct 11

Some parents misuse infant cold drugs, so J&J pulls them all off the shelves?

In other news, some parents abuse their children, so all procreation is banned.

There must be more to this story.

  2. You aren’t missing anything.

Triaminic decongestant strips — one of the banned drugs — are the best thing since sliced bread.

Assholes! May they all enjoy the thrill of a child trying to drink from a bottle who cannot breath through his nose.

    Nance

  3. I listened to a brief piece on this on CBC radio last night and it made me think of Doc’s recent post abour stupid people (there was a link to the Angry Australian’s rant). We have warnings on things that are just absolutely stupid (like the warning on McD’s coffee cups that says “Warning: Contents hot” or packages of peanuts that say “Warning: Contains nuts.”) We also keep restricting and banning things that were otherwise not a problem for non-stupid people, just because some stupid person couldn’t figure out that it probably isn’t a good idea to give a baby the WHOLE bottle of cold medicine. Well, duuuuuuuuhhhhh!

I agree with Angry Australian when he says that we shouldn’t put all these warnings and bannings out there. Just let the stupid people kill themselves off. Darwin would understand. ;-)
