Homeschoolers against Huckabee
December 17th, 2007 by COD
Playing off this post from Unity N Diversity, we need a catchy acronym to help unite Evolved Homeschoolers against Huckabee. Leave your ideas in the comments. I suspect the eventual winner will be self evident, and I’m sure a web badge will appear shortly there after.
haH (Homeschoolers Against Huckabee) is short and sweet. Plus we can do the funky capitalization and go all web 2.0 on it.
Ahah! – Another Homeschooler Against Huckabee
Studying for 70-528 is hard and only a strict schedule can help you in covering the entire syllabus in time. The course is also important because it will eventually decide your fate, i.e. 642-825 or SY0-101. Other courses like 642-552 should be skipped.

And, some of us would be ChaH (Christian homeschoolers against Huckabee).
Hucksterism Or Real Science?
Whatever, we need a shiny graident badge with reflection to go with it too, for that *real* Web. 2.0 feel.

HASH “Homeschoolers Against Schmuck Huck” This is way too much fun. Must stop or I could be here all day!
The badge would have to be shinier than my new Homeschooler (not plural, I only speak for myself) for Hillary.
If fundy homeschoolers elect the next president, the way they did the last one. I am leaving the country. Nobody cares if I leave, but that’s what I’m going to do. America, love it or leave it. I’m that close.
I’m checking into horse property in Ron and Andrea’s neighborhood, just in case.
Kidding. Not really.
Who runs the Unity blog?
Nance
Don’t have anything clever to offer. But I do wish the news media would stop lumping all homeschoolers together. Now supposedly homeschoolers hate Mormons, and that is why we are for Huckabee and against Romney.
Couldn’t possibly be because of anything important like issues. And of course we are all suppose to be single issue voters (ugh) why can’t they wake up and smell the coffee, we are a diverse group, with diverse interest and we care about more then ONE issue. At least I do.
The media isn’t interested in representing religious candidates as any less than fanatic, nor homeschoolers as anything other than religious wackjobs. I posted earlier this morning that the recipe for journalism is one pound of agenda per ounce of fact sugarcoated with a layer of personality.
If I want junk food, I’ll stick with M&Ms. I am not going to let the media hit me on the knee with a ball-peen hammer. Ifn’ ya’ll want to blame election results on Fundie homeschoolers, you go right ahead, but don’t forget that as soon as you do that, you just held out your styrofoam cup at the media Kool-Aid punchbowl.
Did I get enough metaphors in this post?
Can’t think of another one, but I like Ahah and HASH.
I’ve decided to speak out about my choice this election cycle (don’t know who yet, but definitely a Dem), and let people know that homeschoolers are a diverse group. Plus I don’t want my old friends to think I went fundie on them.
