Thinking Homeschoolers II

April 30th is National Spankout Day here in the US. May 1 is the National Day of Prayer. Since we couldn’t decide between the two we are combining the effort. Pick one, or both, and write something related. The due date is April 30. I’ll be really interested to see how people connect the two if they take them both on.

BTW, I was happily surprised this AM to see all the links on the Tax Day page. We had 10 submissions. Yea us!

The May 15 edition will be more of a lighthearted creative writing exercise.

Oh my gosh, you rock! “Yay” is my biggest internet pet-peeve and you are the only person I have ever seen spell it right.

You just totally made my day. (It’s the little things.)

Oh yeah, and congrats on your debut issue!

Let the record show that on this day, April 16, 2008, Chris O’Donnell received a compliment for his spelling.

And people don’t believe in miracles :)

I missed the tax post but I’ll try to get the next one. For some reason I am spending all my time looking at my garden instead of my computer.

I’ll try harder next time. :)

Complimented on your spelling and busted on your math all in one post!

Problem — I have tried to start thinking about this one ahead of time instead of waiting until the last minute like last time but damn! It’s so depressing! I’m having a hard time putting a positive spin on beating kids. . . sigh. . .

Choose to tackle the National Day of Prayer. I have done a 180 on this issue. The religious right as so often happens has co opted it for their own nefarious purposes.

This is a personal blog. Anything expressed here is at best my opinion and my opinion only. I'm not above making stuff up to start a conversation, so you are probably better off just not taking anything I write here too seriously. Comments are owned by whoever posted them.
