Technology gremlins are when you reboot your Hadoop name node Linux machine and when it comes back up its running Windows Me.

This hasn't actually happened to me... yet. I had a nightmare where it did and it was a very unrestful sleep.

If certain Luddite homeschoolers are too believed, technology is all the work of Satan anyway, so its probably a wash!

Well, this is a timely post! I spent the morning looking for info about AP History (especially US History) for homeschoolers and finding... not much. Do you have any advice, suggestions, etc?

Hi, I don't have children but this subject is very interesting.
I found the menu used by the elementary school in my little town (quite 7000 abitants in the north of Italy near Milan) to make a comparison and to give a suggestion to your school executives.
Please note that this is a public school (yes PUBLIC AND FREE FOR ALL) payed by taxes

Each student has 3 different choices each day, this is an example of one o these menu during a week in the autumn/winter season. Each menu changes for the spring/summer season, with diffent vegetables and fruits.
Clearly if a child has some problems (for example allergy or intolerance to some ingredient) can ask for a different menu agreed with teachers and school executives.

Mon
Pasta with tomato souce
Chicken breast cooked with milk
Peas and carrots
wholemeal bread
Season fruits

Tue
Rice soup with potatoes
Veal steak cooked with lemon sauce
Zucchini "al graten" (cooked in the owen with bread gratin)
Bread
Fruits

Wed
Cannelloni with ricotta and spinach
Fennels
Bread
Fruits

Thu
Gnocchi with pomato souce
Artichokes omelette
Mixed salad
Bread
Fruits

Fri
Parmigiana rice
Sole cooked in the owen
Beans
Bread
Fruits

I am currently working with a Mom who is trying to wedge her brilliant daughter back into public school. All the girl's choice -- she wants to see what ps is like. The school is giving her nothing but a bureaucratic hard time. You'd think they would be thrilled to have her but she doesn't fit the box too well. Mom and I are just waiting for her to figure out it's not worth her time and get back to her accelerated learning plan.

Our kids are very lucky.
