A Very un-PC Birthday Party

Military themed birthday cake and accessories - $30.00

Paintball for 6 kids and 2 adults - $30 each

Nailing your son in the chest from 30 yards....priceless.

Both my kids' birthday parties this year required liability waivers from the parents.

The paintball field was a mud bog. It just added to the fun.

I'm not sure how we top it next year. Maybe skydiving?

My birthday is coming up in a month. Feel free to throw me a paintball party, too. Seriously though, you should think about bungee jumping for next year's party.

Despite my mixed emotions, curiosity wins out to the point where I wouldn't mind reading those liability waivers.

It wasn't our liability waiver, it was the generic form provided by the farm where the girls went horseback riding, or the paintball place.

The painball form is at http://www.totaleclipsehasairball.com/_wsn/page4.html

Don: If you can tell me where you'll be in a month maybe we can work something out ;)

Sounds great. We also have a son born in 1994, and for his last two birthdays we have taken a bunch of boys to LaserQuest (laserquest.com) for laser tag. A similar idea, but no mud and no waivers, just dark, ramps, fog, pumping music and laser beams...

Thanks for the link to my blog on the previous post. :-)

Enjoyed reading your bio. My mom lives in Charlottesville. We also have one son, one daughter, in that order, but our girl was born in 1998. For her last birthday she wanted a pottery painting party, although she likes riding horses too. She has only ridden horses in Colorado.

We've done Laser Tag and the arcade a couple of times. Although a dedicated Laser Tag place would probably be a lot larger and more fun.

Rock climbing is another idea I'm filing away for future parties. There is a gymnastics studio here that has a rock climbing wall. They could probably even get Boy Scout merit badge credit for it.
